To run an access permissions test

Note: If you have just created or modified a User, that user will not be listed correctly in the Entitlement Server's Cache. You must flush the Cache (click on Flush Cache in the menu at the top of the screen) before performing an access test for that User.
  1. If you are not already in the Test interaction, click on Test in the ClearTrust SecureControl Web UI top menu to open the Test interaction.
  2. Specify a User on which to perform an access permissions test, as follows:
    1. Enter the UserID in the User field and proceed to Step 3, or click the Set button to the right of the User field to open the Select a User dialog.
    2. In the Select a User dialog, click on Use to select the User for whom you wish to perform the access permissions test. The Test interaction will be displayed with that User specified (or click Cancel to return to the Test interaction without selecting a User).
  3. Select a Web Server on which to perform an access permissions test.
    1. Enter the Web Server name in the Web Server field and proceed to Step 4, or click the Set button to the right of the Web Server field to open the Select a Web Server interaction.
    2. In the Select a Web Server dialog, click on Use to select the Web Server for which you want to perform the access permissions test. The Test interaction will be displayed with that Web Server specified (or click Cancel to return to the Test interaction without selecting a Web Server).
  4. Enter the URI for which you want to test access permissions.
  5. Click on the Test button to run the test. The results will be displayed at the bottom of the Test interaction.
  6. Once the test is complete, you can run another test by changing any of the test parameters (User, Web Server or URI) as described above and clicking on Test again. The results of a series of tests will appear as a list at the bottom of the test interaction. Click on Clear to remove the list.
