To search for Users

  1. If you are not already in the Users interaction, click on Users In the ClearTrust SecureControl Manager Web UI top menu.
  2. Click on the Search button to open the User Search interaction.
  3. Within the Search interaction, you can search by any combination of the displayed Fixed Attributes or User Properties. To include an attribute or Property in the search, click on the Set button next to the attribute or Property to display the associated Set Query dialog box. There are five different Set Query dialog boxes, corresponding to the five User Property types (String, Integer, Float, Date, Boolean).
  4. All the dialog boxes contain the name of the attribute, a menu to choose the comparison criteria, and a way to specify the data to which the attribute will be compared. The different types of values have different comparison criteria and comparison values:

    Click on the Set button to generate a dialog box to set the date.

    Boolean

    Is Not, Is

    Choose True or False

    String

    Does Not Contain, Ends With, Equals, Starts With, Contains (you can also apply numeric operators to Strings).

    Enter a string data into the field

    Integer, Float

    >=, <, +, >, <=, !=

    Enter a number into the field

  5. Once you have filled in the values in the dialog box, click on the Save button to add this search criterion to the User Search interaction. (Or click Cancel to return to the User Search interaction without adding anything).
  6. To remove a search criterion from the User Search interaction, click on the Reset button next to the criterion's field. To remove all the search criteria, click on the Reset button at the bottom of the window.
  7. One all the criteria are set, click on the Save button to run the search. Users fitting the search will appear in a Users interaction. (Click on the Cancel button to return to the Users interaction from which you started, without doing a search).
