Some individual dialogs in the Modify User or Create User interaction

Transfer Ownership

If you're a Super User and you want to transfer ownership of a User account to another Administrative Group:

  1. Click the Set button (next to the Administrative Group field) to display the Select an Administrative Group dialog box and select the Administrative Group to which you want to transfer ownership of this User.
  2. Click Use to transfer ownership to the selected Administrative Group. You will then be returned to the Create a User or Modify a User dialog. (Clicking on Cancel will also return you to the previous dialog, with no changes made).
Change Password

To change or enter the User's password:

  1. click the Change Password button to display the Change Password dialog box.
  2. Enter the new password in the New Password field.
  3. Re-enter the new password in the Confirm Password field.
  4. Click Save to save the password and return to the previous interaction (or Cancel to return without changing the password).
Expire Password

To set or modify the password's expiration time:

  1. Click on the Set button next to the Password Expiration Date field to display the Set Password Expiration dialog.
  2. Once in the dialog, you can reset this individual User's password expiration to a specific date and time.

To expire the password immediately:

  1. Click on the Expire Now button next to the Password Expiration Date field.
To delete a User

To remove a User's account from the system:

  1. In the ClearTrust SecureControl Manager Web interface top menu, click Users to open the Users interface.
  2. To delete the User, click on the Delete button to the left of the User name. A warning will pop up asking you to confirm the deletion.
  3. Click OK . The User is deleted. (To return to the Users interaction without deleting the User, click Cancel ).
